Q: How do I apply to be a Grunt Driver?

To apply, visit (http://gruntdriver.com), click on "Be
A Driver" at the top right, and complete and submit the driver form.

 

Q: What happens after I submit the form?

After submitting the form, you will receive an email with a
download link to our Grunt app. This app will allow you to set up your driver
account and upload all necessary documentation for review.

 

Q: What documentation do I need to upload?

You will need to upload the following:

- A valid U.S. driver’s license

- Vehicle registration card

- Vehicle insurance card

- Photo of your vehicle

 

Q: How long does the review process take?

The review process may take up to 24 hours. During this
time, a team member may contact you for additional information or a short
interview.

 

Q: How do I know if my application was approved?

You will receive an email notification if your application
is approved. Additionally, your screen will automatically refresh from
"Please Wait" to the Home Dashboard Screen, where you can start
accepting available orders in your area.

 

Q: How do I know if my application was rejected?

If your application is rejected, you will receive an email
notification explaining the reason for the rejection and guidance on how to
correct any issues.

Q: What are the criteria to be a grunt driver?

To become a Grunt driver, you need to meet the following
criteria:

 

1. Be at least 18 years old.

2. Have legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada.

3. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds without accommodation.

4. Have regular access to a reliable vehicle and insurance.

5. Have access to a smartphone that can run the Grunt app.

6. Pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving
record.

     

Q: How much money can I make per delivery?

The amount you can earn per delivery depends on the type of
vehicle you drive (e.g., sedan, small-size pickup-truck/SUV, or full-size
pickup-truck/SUV) and the distance you need to travel. Potential earnings are
provided to the driver before accepting a job. In general, Grunt drivers can
earn anywhere from $13 to $48 per trip, plus tips.

 

Q: Can drivers communicate with customers?

Yes, Grunt drivers can communicate with customers via the
in-app message feature. Communication can occur after accepting the job and
until the proof of delivery is submitted to the customer.

 

Q: What should a Grunt driver do upon arrival at the pickup
location?

When a Grunt driver arrives at the pickup location, they
should follow these steps:

 

1. Follow the store's pickup instructions for the type of
pickup, i.e., curbside, in-store, or lockbox. Present the order confirmation.

2. If not a lockbox pickup, notify store employees that this
is a Grunt pickup and provide customer’s name and order confirmation.

 

Q: While picking up the order, can the Grunt driver provide
periodic order updates to customers?

Yes, Grunt encourages drivers to provide periodic order
updates to customers using built-in messaging and push notification features in
the app. This includes notifying the customer when the order has been picked
up, when the driver is en-route, and when the delivery has been completed. Good
customer service and clear communication can lead to better tips from the
customer upon delivery.
